How can it be two weeks into this website and we have not written one article about the nectar of gods? It dates back as far as 9000 B.C., and believe it or not, it wasn't invented to help your father sleep with your mother no matter what he tells you. Ancient Egyptians made beer in a primitive form for use during a prayer to the goddess Ninkasi. Beer has seen a lot of changes since those days. In some cases it is still used in religious ceremonies, mostly on Saturdays in the fall (Go Bucks). Flash forward to the late 1800's and early 1900's where prohibition swept parts of the country. Fortunately after the fugly women stopped getting laid, beer was welcomed back with open arms and a false since of reality. Large breweries popped up all over the country and big names in beer started to emerge. After micro-breweries like Sam Adams were started in the 1980's, the idea of making your own beer spread to every jack-hole that thought he could make a little money. Do we really need a pomegranate beer? Stop with the,"Hey dude, try my beer, I made it in my basement." We all have our favorites so there is no need to review specific beers on this web page, so raise your glass of your favorite beer and enjoy it in moderation.
