MAG was to be a huge step forward in multi player gaming. It was to be the game that stopped people from playing Call of Duty. The truth is this game only raises the bar in the number of people that can play on a map at 256. But a what cost for such a large number of players? To do this clearly they had to cut the amount of information sent back and forth. The graphics will make you think your still playing with your playstation 2. The controls feel almost unresponsive at times. This is a huge disappointment from what I got excited over the unveiling at E3. I am not one for long reviews. MAG is a rental at best. It gets 2 out of 5.

The Wii
The Xbox 360 beat all other systems to the next gen punch. That head start really shows. They have some great games and the Halo franchise is one of my favorites. The system also has some great innovations on the horizon in Project Natal. Project Natal could change the way we play games all together, but we have heard that before. It would allow the user to play with no controller and all motions are controlled by your body. I also feel that while beating all other competition to the market, they may have skipped out on the quality of the system. The dreaded red ring of death has claimed my first xbox.
Every time I turn my new one on I still wonder if this is the time it happens again. I have been a subscriber of live since week one over six years ago. The $50 price for a year subscription is a small price. It allows me to play online with my friends, voice and video chat, download tv show, movies and even stream Netflix®. The system is starting to show it age and the ps3 is starting to get some momentum and might even over take the 360. But with the Xbox 360’s new price drop the battle is on. In closing the Xbox 360 is a sure bet for any Man Cave.

Believe it or not I am still asked this question. Since its release my answer has always been “yes”. With the new price drop , new restyling and some great games as of late there is no reason not to have one. For any guy or gal that’s into sports games, this is without a doubt the right system for you. MLB The Show is the best baseball game I have played in the past few years. The PS3 also offers other awesome exclusive titles along with a vast selection of movies to rent or buy.
The Blu-Ray player is outstanding; the PlayStation store has really come on as of late and with constant updates it keeps the system fresh and enjoyable. The system has come along way since it was released and it keeps getting better. Who cares if you have a xbox…you can enjoy both. So the age long dilemna in every Man Cave has been Foosball table or Pool table (don’t get us started on darts, thats a whole different post!)?
